VET courses differ from university programs in that they have a more practical focus, their duration is shorter and their cost. Usually they are cheaper than a university course. They are also a lower qualification with respect a university certification.

Type of Courses VET 

Certificate I-IV

These courses provide basic specific knowledge, skills and training in the industry such as: communication, reading and writing and arithmetic and teamwork. They have a duration from 6 months to one year. 

Diploma

The Diploma courses  for industrial, business and professional careers. Some diploma courses can be completed at the university level. The diplomas usually last from one to two years of study.
 

Advanced Diploma

An Advanced Diploma provides a high level of practical skills for advanced qualified and / or professional work in different areas. & nbsp; Some advanced diploma courses can be completed at a university level. Advanced diplomas vary in duration from eighteen months to two years of study.
